Waterproofing Surface Preparation Checklist

Before starting any waterproofing application, proper surface preparation is essential to ensure maximum adhesion and long-lasting performance.

1. Thorough Surface Cleaning

• Remove all dirt, dust, algae, moss, grease, loose particles, and any existing contaminants.
• Clean the surface using a high-pressure water jet or suitable cleaning equipment to achieve a sound and clean substrate.

2. Protect Surrounding Areas

• Cover and protect adjacent walls, windows, doors, finishes, and other nearby surfaces from water, dust, and coating splashes.
• Ensure proper drainage or temporary barriers are in place to prevent water from flowing into unwanted areas.

3. Inspect the Substrate
